It’s been a little over a hundred days since the Blues last played in Enterprise Center. Game six of the Stanley Cup playoffs could’ve gone a bit better, but what happened afterwards leaves little to quibble with.
Preseason hockey is fun because you get to watch the kids, but the kids usually tend to play on the road, when you can’t see them. It’s a quandary, but the coaches know what most of the fans want. It’s not the kids, it’s the names. Today’s roster is a pretty clear demonstration of that - check out the defense. The only non-regular playing is Jake Walman.
Forwards: Ivan Barbashev, Sammy Blais, Tyler Bozak, Robby Fabbri, Mackenzie MacEachern, Ryan Olsen, Austin Poganski, Zach Sanford, Brayden Schenn, Jaden Schwartz, Alexander Steen, Oskar Sundqvist, Nathan Walker.
Defense: Robert Bortuzzo, Jay Bouwmeester, Vince Dunn, Colton Parayko, Alex Pietrangelo, Jake Walman
Goalies: Jordan Binnington, Evan Fitzpatrick
If you’re in the metro area and don’t have a ticket, you’re in luck. FoxSports Go is airing the games locally on the app and website (cable log-in required). If you’re outside of St. Louis, 101 ESPN will be broadcasting the game as well. Watch the Cards put the Cubs out of their misery on mute and turn on the Blues broadcast. Nothing wrong with multitasking.
This is your GameDay Thread. Let’s do this.
Let’s Go Blues.
