Back in November, Conn Smythe Trophy winner and Stanley Cup Champion Ryan O’Reilly visited NHL Network Ice Time to chat with the young viewership about growing up playing the game and being a young hockey fan. This weekend, Vladimir Tarasenko will be stopping by to say hi and to impart his Cup winning advice to fans.
When asked what his advice to young fans who play the game would be, Tarasenko says “[l]ove the game, just enjoy your time there because you never know when it’s going to be over. That’s maybe the one [piece of] advice I can give because the more I play now, the more I look around me and the more I see guys get injured – myself included – and you just start actually liking the game more because you never know when it’s gonna be your last game.”
Oh, God, that’s bleak. But no worries, everyone. Vladdy will be back in time for the playoffs and hopefully his next appearance on NHL Ice TIme won’t be a bleak look into existential despair.
NHL Ice Time will Saturday morning at 8:00 and 11:00 AM.
