Jordan Binnington made his NHL start on January 7th 2019....Igor Shesterkin is scheduled to make his first NHL start tomorrow, January 7th 2020. Blues won the Cup after Binnington saved their season.....I like where this is headed #NYR #PlayLikeANewYorker

This guy might be onto something. Igor Shesterkin made his first NHL start on Tuesday night, which was a 5-3 win over the Avalanche. Game two was a 6-3 win over the New Jersey Devils, in which he stopped 46 shots.
Maybe part of the Rangers’ issues is that they’ll allow 46 shots on their goalies more so than the goalies themselves.
Regardless, Shesterkin was third on their depth chart in net, much like Jordan Binnington was. Here’s wishing him just as much success, but not tonight.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you’re starting to wonder who Zach Sanford has compromising pictures of.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
