Boy, that sure was a super restful week off for the Blues and their fans, wasn’t it?

Wait. Something happened this past weekend, didn’t it? I’m not sure how well-rested you guys are, but I’m frigging pooped. Tonight’s late start in Vancouver is going to make it difficult to stay awake past the first period.

On the other hand, three of their best players are just as tired as four of ours; Jake Allen is getting the start over Jordan Binnington just to give Binnington a chance to be fresh for one of the two games of the back-to-back.

The upshot about having the first bye week is that the Blues can be matched with another team that had the week off, so both the Canucks and the Blues have the chance to be out of sorts tonight.

This is your GameDay Thread. Spare a moment of silence for Troy Brouwer, who cleared waivers today.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
