This year’s NHL Entry Draft is not the draft that the league had planned, but it’s the draft that 2020 deserves.

The NHL Draft begins at 6:00 tonight. You’ll be able to enjoy the virtual festivities on NBCSN with commentary - they’ll be beaming into each team’s virtual draft rooms headquartered in their home cities. There will be a live feed with the top expected picks as well, so get ready for awkward reaction shots and family celebrations in their living rooms. If you’re somewhere other than your living room, you can stream the draft on the NBCSN app (cable subscription required).

The pomp and circumstance may be gone - and it is very unfortunate for these young men who are getting the chance of a lifetime - but it should be an exciting couple of days for the Blues. Day two, which consists of rounds 2-7, begins at 11:30 AM on NHL Network; it more than likely will also be broadcast live on NHL.com.

The Blues have seven picks in this year’s draft, starting with the 26th pick overall:

Round 1 - No. 26

Round 3 - No. 86

Round 3 - No. 88

Round 4 - No. 119

Round 5 - No. 146

Round 5 - No. 150

Round 7 - No. 203

Gabe Foley has some analysis on who the Blues should look at as part of the annual SB Nation mock draft - whether or not that’s who the Blues’ select is anyone’s guess.

Whether or not the Blues pull off any blockbuster draft day trades again is also to be seen.

We’ll have an open draft thread up later on today for your draft discussions, along with profiles today and tomorrow of the players that the Blues select. This is a busy week for the NHL and should also be a busy week for the Blues. Unrestricted free agency begins Friday.
