Tonight is the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, and it is all virtual. Prepare yourselves for awkward video, draft picks celebrating on the couch, and the Rangers choosing Alexis Lafreniere first overall to the surprise of no one.
Doug Armstrong and the Blues choose 26th overall tonight, which means that fans will have to wait a bit after the broadcast begins at 6:00 on NBCSN to see who the Blues select. That still leaves plenty of time for other draft day drama. There’s already been one non-Blues deal:
Canadiens acquire forward Josh Anderson in return for Max Domi and a third-round pick in 2020 (78th overall).

Doug Armstrong is no stranger to draft day shockers, though the standard set in 2017 is a hard one to match.
Tonight will be a draft like no other. Check back later on for some analysis of tonight’s selection, and make sure to head back tomorrow morning for day two’s thread - the Blues have six more picks to make throughout the day.
