Blues at Jets GameDay Thread: Happy 1000th, Steen

In case you missed it, Alexander Steen is setting a career milestone tonight in Winnipeg. His father, Thomas Steen made it to 950 games before the Jets relocated to Phoenix and he relocated his family to Europe. Steen, who was drafted in 2002 by the Toronto Maple Leafs, is the 13th person to reach the 1000 game plateau as a Blue, and the 30th active NHLer to hit this mark.

This is a pretty big deal.

What’s also a big deal is that the Blues have nearly squandered the post-All-Star week, in which the Colorado Avalanche have sat fallow. They’re still eight points up on the Avs and can be back up to ten points by the end of the night, but this recent streak of poor play hasn’t been ideal. The Blues can fix that tonight.

This is your Gameday Thread. Comment like you just nose Steen’s going to have a great night.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
