Predators at Blues Preview/Game Day Thread: Home sweet home?

New, comments

The Blues have returned to St. Louis to shake off the latest road trip.

After the Blues latest stretch of games, you can be forgiven for starting to be concerned. Sure, the Blues had to deal with questionable officiating on Thursday night, but their penalty kill could be better. Zach Sanford scored four goals, but the Blues allowed 52 shots on goal - and those are the ones that reached the net.

Officiating can’t explain where the defense has gone. The team’s blueline undoubtedly missed Jay Bouwmeester’s veteran presence, but they’ve been slipping since before Tuesday night. The Blues are 2-5-3 in their last ten games, while Colorado are just two points behind them and have an 8-2-0 record in their last ten.

Something has to give. Sure, the Blues and Predators have a fun rivalry and the fans of each team seem to annoy the hell out of their counterparts, but these two games have big implications. The Blues dropped their first two games to Nashville. They can’t afford to do the same here.

The Blues have only missed getting a point in one of their last 13 home games.

This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you’d like to see them get two points tonight.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
