UPDATED: Blues, Scandella, Binnington, and O’Reilly release statements on George Floyd killing, social protests

Scandella is the first player on the Blues to do so, Binnington the second.

NHL players and other athletes are releasing their personal statements on the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and many other African Americans at the hands of police. Marco Scandella today issued this statement on the current social protests in the country. He is the first member of the St. Louis Blues to issue a statement.

Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington also released a statement yesterday on Instagram.
