First Period Highlights:

William Karlsson got the Golden Knights on the board first in this one. The Knights came in on Jordan Binnington on a 2 on 1 chance. Reilly Smith passed the puck over to Karlsson for the one time chance. Binnington made the initial save but couldn’t stop the rebound. 1-0 bad guys.

That was all the goal scoring for the first period for both sides. Shots on goal for the period were 17-16 in favor of Vegas.

Second Period Highlights:

Brandon Saad tied the game at one 3:21 into the second period. Ryan O’Reilly and David Perron played keep away with the puck. Perron got the puck on net. Saad came hard off the bench straight to the front of the net. Perron’s shot rebounded right back out to Saad. Saad finished off the play for his first goal as a Blue.

Shots in the second period were 14 shots for each side.

Third Period Highlights:

Vladimir Tarasenko had seven shots on net in the game. Seven. He was having his best game so far of the young season. He finally cashed in (get it cause Vegas? I’ll be here all night) one of those shots for a goal. Right before the goal Brayden Schenn and Alex Pietrangelo had an incident. Pietrangelo ended up throwing Schenn’s stick on the ice. Pietrangelo then ended up turing the puck over in the middle of the ice. Torey Krug collected the puck and got it right back to Schenn. Schenn passed it over to Jordan Kyrou (by the way how good has he been so far) who passed it to Tarasenko. Tarasenko buried the puck for the game winner. Then made a run at Pietrangelo after he scored who might have been going after Schenn?

But wait there’s more. Just go ahead and ice this one Ivan Barbashev.

Blues begin the season 3-0-0. Cue the 82-0-0 jokes. Final shot totals were 43-38 in favor of Vegas.

Next up for the Blues...Saturday night here in St. Louis against the Kings.

Three stars that were in no way homer picks whatsoever proving that half the time the three star selections are a joke anyway.

  1. Vladimir Tarasenko 2. Robin Lehner 3. William Karlsson Guess Binnington will just have to shut them out next time.

Twitter Machine.

Minus the brain farts at the end of the Avs/Yotes games this has been great. It’s still taking some getting used to cheering for this guy. Tonight helps.

Best game of the three for 91. He legit seemed happy hugging Binnington after the win.

Thanks Biz!! Can I get those lottery numbers too?

And finally...
