During the playoffs, a seven game series stretching over two weeks isn’t anything at all. We expect them, we enjoy them, we enjoy the conflict they breed and the rivalries they create.
At the end of the seven game series, one team goes on and the other goes home. At least, that happens during the playoffs. During the regular season the teams just keep playing, and that anticipation of playing any team that isn’t named the Arizona Coyotes is high. Let’s admit it, that anticipation of playing any team that isn’t named the Arizona Coyotes has probably made most of us sick of watching the Blues play Yotes for this long.
There’s too much of a good thing, and then there’s too much of whatever this is. You can get burned out on both, but at least you eventually want to go back to the good thing. No offense to Arizona, but if the NHL canceled that last game against them, I would not cry.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you’ve had your fill.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
