Sharks at Blues GameDay Thread: Change of pace

The Blues get a new opponent tonight for the first time in over two weeks.

The Blues are missing a large number of their forwards, but San Jose aren’t exactly injury free right now either. Erik Karlsson will miss tonight’s game, and Saturday night’s as well with a nagging lower body injury. He did not make the trip with the Sharks. Devan Dubnyk is also day to day, and defenseman Radim Simek is a recent addition to the IR.

That doesn’t make the Sharks any less bothersome for the Blues. Logan Couture, a noted thorn in the side of the Blues’ defense, is healthy and good to go. The Blues and their fans might be more than ready to play a different team, but hopefully they’re ready to stop Couture’s offense. He has six points and three goals in his last five games against the Blues, including a goal and two assists in the Blues’ January 8th victory.

This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you’re glad hockey’s version of Groundhog Day is over.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
