Today’s game should be being played tonight. It should also feature the Colorado Avalanche. The NHL and COVID-19 had some different plans though, so tonight’s game features the two West Division teams not under COVID-19 restrictions. The schedule just kind of worked itself out around it.
Nothing like a happy accident to keep a season going in the era of rolling with whatever life throws at you.
Mike Hoffman’ll be bumped up to play with David Perron and Ryan O’Reilly, after they clicked toward the end of Thursday’s 4-3 loss. Despite playing flatter than a pancake for 56 minutes, the Blues showed a burst of determination at the end that didn’t make the whole thing a wash.
They didn’t get two points, and I don’t even know if it’s a moral victory, but it’s better than rolling over and losing 4-0.
