With the completely unsurprising announcement that Thursday night’s Blues game against the Wild has been postponed, the Blues will be playing the Coyotes two more games in a row. The team has struggled the last two games with consistency, pressure, and playing with intelligence. Obviously, they don’t have a game against the Wild to bounce back in and clear their minds with. Now, it’s a flight to Arizona and two more games against a team that has proven to be a thorn in their side.
Coach Craig Berube has retooled the lines, moving Ivan Barbashev up to the top line, Mike Hoffman to the third line with with Zach Sanford and Oskar Sundqvist. Time will tell how long that will last.
Marco Scandella is still out, but Robert Bortuzzo is in next to Niko Mikkola.
Will this work? Will the Blues win before they have a few days off? Hopefully so. Carrying a three game losing streak to Arizona when they should be banking points isn’t the best idea.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you didn’t want to play the Wild anyway.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
