Jacob de la Rose is the latest member of the Blues to have the injury bug bite him. He went down Saturday night during the Blues’ 7-6 win over the San Jose Sharks.
By virtue of being the next man up, Dakota Joshua will be making his debut tonight as fourth line center. Who is Dakota Joshua? Good question:
The Blues acquired Joshua in a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs in July 2019. He played four seasons with Ohio State University from 2015-2019, posting 41 goals and 59 assists (100 points) in 128 career NCAA games. Since signing a two-year entry level deal with the Blues in 2019, Joshua has played 30 games with the San Antonio Rampage, 20 with the ECHL’s Tulsa Oilers and four this season with the Utica Comets.
He’s excited to be here, and he’s big. He should be a good asset centering the fourth line, especially against a Ducks team with some size.
Ville Husso, who played well in relief of Jordan Binnington against San Jose, will get the start in net tonight.
