The Blues have been so hammered by the injury bug this season that fans can be forgiven for thinking that every new injury is going to result in a player being sent to the injured reserve.
When Oskar Sundqvist sat out the third period of the Blues’ victory over the Kings on Friday, fans were concerned. The lack of specific detail wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, because it seemed that coach Craig Berube wasn’t concerned. Vladimir Tarasenko returned to the lineup the next game, which was a nice slot-in for yet another injury. The Blues lost the next two games in extra time to close out the road trip.
Tomorrow night, the Blues host the Vegas Golden Knights. While Alex Pietrangelo is injured and won’t be making his return to St. Louis, it appears that Sundqvist is good to go.
Berube said a couple of days ago that of the injured players, only Sundqvist had a realistic chance of returning this weekend against Vegas. He is on the ice this morning. #stlblues

Berube will wait and see how Sundqvist feels tomorrow, but by all indications, he'll be back in the lineup Friday. #stlblues

With Sundqvist returning and Tarasenko permanently slotted in, the question is who will sit Friday night’s game out.
