Kings Highlights and a Mike Hoffman Goal.
The Blues gave up not one, not two, but three first period goals. The team came out flat. They made too many mistakes. Took an offensive zone penalty (that wasn’t David Perron). Gave up a power play goal. Had all of three shots on goal in the first period.
They finally started to get their legs under them in the second and third. It just wasn’t enough as the Kings went on to win 4-1. The Blues losing streak extended to five games. Next up for the Blues are the Sharks Friday night.
Tweets and things.
Ray Barlie celebrated his 2000th NHL game tonight, and the Blues did something real nice for him.
The bar was pretty low there coach...
Berube: "I think our second period was a lot better than our first period for sure, but second period's how we wanted to play the game against the Kings tonight and I thought we did a good job in the second period, but overall, it's not close to being good enough." #stlblues

He’s not wrong, but man tonight was...something.
Hoffman after Blues' fifth straight loss: "This group is good enough that we can work our way out of this, but we got to stay positive and keep working." #stlblues pic.twitter.com/Pgg9cNbhEU

Torey Krug got elbowed in the face and didn’t take too kindly to it.
Blues drop the gloves for back-to-back games! This time, it's Torey Krug.
