Ducks at Blues GameDay Thread: Snap the slump

You could argue that every team technically needs a win - that’s how the standings are determined, after all. But with only two wins in their last ten games, and only one of those coming in regulation, the Blues really do need a win. Their last two performances have been two of their best efforts all season, but for naught. After running up against hot goalies two games in a row, do they have gas in the tank for tonight?

Hopefully so. After tonight, a vast bulk of games come against teams ahead of them in the standings, and the Arizona Coyotes are breathing down the Blues’ neck for the last playoff spot in the West. Poor play, including poor play against the bottom teams in the division, have cost the Blues an opportunity to close ground. You can blame it on whatever you want - injuries, lack of time to build chemistry, lacking defense. Whatever the cause, the Blues need to get past this slump and get past it ASAP.
