Brayden Schenn made an excellent point before tonight’s game. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it:
“The same lineup, it definitely helps, especially when you’re winning. You’re going to have that feel in the locker room that you’re going to go down and do it again tonight. It’s definitely nice to have familiar faces and guys consistently in the lineup night after night, lines staying the same and stuff like that. It’s easier on everyone.”
Craig Berube agrees - the lineup tonight is the same as it has been for the start of the Blues’ California roadtrip. The one alteration is that Ville Husso is in net instead of Jordan Binnington. The Blues play the Kings again tomorrow, so Husso being tapped for starter buys Binnington an extra night of rest.
Tonight and the next three nights will see the Blues play three games: two against LA and one against San Jose. The Blues need rest where they can find it; hopefully the defense can sharpen up tonight to lend Husso some support.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you’re glad it’s a Friday night.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
