Blues at Coyotes GameDay Thread: Blues can build on their loss to Colorado

New, comments

The third period against the Avs was impressive. Can they play like that fpr a whole game tonight?

NHL: St. Louis Blues at Arizona Coyotes Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

The Blues’ 4-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday was a heartbreaker but the third period was some of the most inspired hockey the Blues have turned out this season. While there’s something to be said for playing from a place of desperation, it’d be even better if the Blues come out rolling like that tonight against the Coyotes and don’t let up.

They need those two points. The playoff push is on, and if they want the postseason, they have to bank points where they can bank them. No overtime, no consolation prize to Arizona. Win in regulation and win big.

With Jordan Kyrou on a line with Mike Hoffman and Tyler Bozak, and Zack Sanford shifted down to the fourth line, some offense might be in the cards.

Speaking of the Cards, thanks to their current game against the Phillies, tonight’s Blues game will be on Bally Sports Midwest Plus.

This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you don’t care what channel the Blues are on as long as you can watch them. Somehow.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
