The summer’s moving along at a breakneck pace. Wednesday night is the expansion draft, Friday and Saturday is the NHL draft, and next week brings free agency.
Fans have zero idea what their teams are going to look like when all of this mess is done, but on on other hand, we now have some dates to circle on the calendar to see whatever our teams look like this fall.
The Blues have released their 2021 pre-season calendar, and it looks like they’ll be playing the usual suspects:
Sept. 25 vs. Minnesota - 7 p.m.
Sept. 27 vs. Dallas - 7 p.m.
Sept. 29 at Columbus - 6 p.m.
Oct. 1 at Chicago - 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 2 vs. Chicago - 7 p.m. (in Independence)
Oct. 5 at Dallas - 7 p.m.
Oct. 6 at Minnesota - Time TBD
Oct. 8 vs. Columbus - 7 p.m.
Home games are listed in bold.
The Blues will be playing against the Hawks in Independence, Mo, on October 2nd.
We can debate all we want to over the relevance of these games - we do every year. Regardless of if you’re in camp “fake hockey” or camp “great evaluation of prospects” (I am in the second camp), it’ll be nice to finally watch hockey in September for the first time in two years.
