Whoever didn't play in Columbus gets their turn tonight in Dallas.

The Dallas Stars are so accommodating of their fans and their opponent's fans. Double check their website close to puckdrop for a combo jumbotron feed/radio broadcast.

Last night was Jake Allen's time to shine, and let's just say that a little bit more rust probably needs to be knocked off. Tonight Brian Elliott will be getting the start in net.

As for the Stars?

Sit back, relax, and get ready for some preseason hockey, hopefully with a little better ending tonight. Head over to our friends at Defending Big D and see what they have to say about their, and our, prospects.

Preseason continues with a trip to Dallas

Well, it sucks that the Blues lost in Columbus last night, but it was gratifying to see the chemistry we'd hoped for with the Peter Mueller - Jori Lehtera - Vladimir Tarasenko line. Also, Phil McRae and Magnus Paajarvi seemed to be competing really hard for those few roster spots as well. Coach Hitchcock also had some positive things to say about the Petteri Lindbohm - Nate Prosser defensive pairing. It looks like Coach Hitch and GM Doug Armstrong will have some tough decisions to make.

The Blues are right back at it again tonight, facing the Dallas Stars in their first preseason game. The game starts at 7:30 PM there in Dallas, and should be on radio somewhere on the web. Nothing has been announced yet, but keep your eyes and ears peeled for news as it comes today.

The Blues roster:

Nothing official yet (as I write this Sunday night), but this will basically be whoever *wasn't* at the Columbus game. There will be a few veterans that will be held out, I'd assume, as there's no evaluation necessary for them, and why risk the injury? News on that should break from the usual sources as the day goes on.

The Dallas roster

The best source of info for the Stars is their beat writer for the Dallas Morning News, Mike Heika. While nothing comprehensive has come out yet, there are a few details:

First, from twitter:

Spezza and Hemsky in against St Louis Monday. Ruff said he wants to see a lot of different players this week. Four games in six days.

— Mike Heika (@MikeHeika) September 21, 2014

Then from his blog HERE:

Injury update: Winger Val Nichushkin (groin) was held out of the scrimmage and is listed as day to day. Defenseman Sergei Gonchar was hit in the head with a puck and left the scrimmage in the third period. He was originally scheduled to play Monday, but will now sit. He’s listed as day to day. Defenseman Trevor Daley ran into the boards on Saturday and is bothered by a sore hip. He was one of the players held out of the scrimmage and is listed as day to day. Winger Ryan Garbutt took a tumble into the boards Sunday, but returned to play.

... so you see a little of the roster taking shape there.

So, we'll have a Game Day Thread just like last night, and I'm sure there'll be some links passed around for audio feeds and such. Please join us, won't you?
