Who is Nate Prosser rooting for tonight?

Sorry for the rough intro for tonight's Game Day Thread. It's written on a phone, while riding Metrolink. Ain't Technology Grand???

The Wilds are using tonight as a "final exam" to make the required roster cuts to get to a final roster. Meanwhile, our own Lost Boy is making his preseason debut; although I'm pretty sure that Jaden Schwartz's spot on the team is pretty secure. The Blues will make some cuts of their own after the game, either later tonight or in the morning. In preparation for that, they sent Nate Prosser and Peter Mueller through the waivers process. Mueller cleared, so all expectations are that he's penciled in for the Wolves roster. Mr Prosser, however, notsomuch. His old team, the Wild, have claimed him from waivers. Since they are playing tonight, the Wild will go home with 1 more player than what they flew in with. Life is funny sometimes.

Full rosters have been posted online and tweeted already, but the notable ones are:

A) Robby Fabbri will be playing again tonight, in Lindstrom's spot with Steen. Read into that what you will.

B) Jake Allen is in net, with Hitchcock intending to play him the whole game.

C) Lindbohm is playing D tonight, paired up with Leopold.

No TV tonight, but we will have the dulcet tones of Kerbs and Chaser bringing the game to us on the mighty KMOX 1120 AM. There will be web streams of that feed available as well. I'll try to link my "Gameday" Twitter list below also.

Can we make this 2 wins in a row? Let's find out! Let's go Blues!

The Blues square off against the Wild(s) tonight with some help from Jaden Schwartz

Jaden Schwartz is back and in the lineup tonight after missing most of camp and the pre-season working on a new contract deal. The bridge deal has been built, Schwartz is getting his "you showed us now really show us" money, and now it's time for Schwartz to catch up to the rest of the team.

One guy that he may not be able to catch up to is his draft-mate Vladimir Tarasenko. So far this pre-season Tarasenko has four goals, and has been a force on the ice. Tuesday night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes was the Tarasenko Show, and not being able to see games like that, pre-season or no, reinforces the fact that some sort of video feed for Blues' preseason games would be appreciated.

There's no playoff baseball tonight, so at least we'll be getting a KMOX feed starting at 7:00.

The Wild're playing well this pre-season, so far going 2-1-1. They dismantled the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 Monday night thanks to a Jason Pominville natural hat trick that I'm sure he wishes would've been scored during the regular season. It's easy to fall back into the old "Wild are boring and can't score" mindset sometimes, but with Pominville, Zach Parsie, Thomas Vanek, and Ryan Suter, I don't think underestimating them is a good idea.

Here's tonight's line-up from STLBlues.com:

Forwards: David Backes, Patrik Berglund, Paul Bissonnette, Robby Fabbri, Maxim Lapierre, Jori Lehtera, T.J. Oshie, Ryan Reaves, Jaden Schwartz, Paul Stastny, Alexander Steen, Vladimir Tarasenko

Defense: Jay Bouwmeester, Ian Cole, Jordan Leopold, Petteri Lindbohm, Alex Pietrangelo, Kevin Shattenkirk

Goalies: Jake Allen, Brian Elliott

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting the feeling that Fabbri will be here to start the season?
